2010 Winds of Refreshing

It has been a most blessed time with Pastor Mark Hall from Kentucky. God moved in such a powerful way each night! Thursday night we saw God ignite the fire and begin to refresh people of God.

Friday night we had approximately 70 people packed in our little church. We had 3 churches representing.

Saturday night was the most powerful time, God moved and performed many things in our church. We were so blessed that He would take his time to visit a people like us.

Sunday my Lexie(6) stood and spoke during testimony service and she said, “I want the Holy Ghost. I have been praying in the bed and asking God for it and I really want the Holy Ghost.” I was standing looking down at her and watched as her eyes welled up with tears and she bowed her head. I asked the church to gather around her and pray. We did and she wept in the presence of God. It impacted me in a profound way! Her simple hunger does not regard me or anyone else. Her hunger and faith brought a definite presence of God that manifested itself in a special way.

Now you may be wondering what it is that I am speaking of, the Holy Ghost? Paul asked the disciples of John if they had received the Holy Ghost since they believed and the replied they didn’t know whether there be any such thing. The portion of scripture I am referring to is Acts 19:2. Some may say that they received the Holy Ghost when they believed and “accepted Jesus in their heart” or when they were baptized but scripture does not support such a premise. My child is hungry for God, not just an emotional God but the being who goes beyond emotion and feeling to the very depths of the soul. Oh I can’t wait till she receives the baptism of the Holy Ghost! That will be a glad day!

I can’t write effective enough to express how I feel. These past weeks have been nothing less than amazing for my family. The work here in Centerville is taking shape more and more. I’m going to get around to putting photos on here one day of all that is going on. My life is pretty much family, church, work… pretty much in that order, at least in my heart. Personally it must be Jesus, family, church, and then work… but Jesus should be a given. Anyway back on topic.

In February I was in a meeting of Home Missionaries. Pastor Terry Black spoke at these meetings and what he said was from God. He asked my wife and I to attend the Convocation in Memphis. What a time!

Bro. James Kilgore ministered and if you are familiar with his ministry you know that he spoke for 20 minutes and the Holy Ghost fell. Thank you Bro. Kilgore and Bro. Black for obeying the Lord. We were blessed beyond measure.

I’ve had little time to update my blog but will be working on a schedule to update it more frequently.

Last Wednesday night the Lord visited us in a special way. Tonight the Spirit of the Lord fell. The winds of refreshing, an Apostolic witness in Centerville, the Lord is doing good things! I just want to be a willing vessel in his will!
