War Room

To an oursider it wouldn’t look like much of a room, in the least a war room. It’s old walls painted in a pale antique yellow with little or no insulation. The floor isn’t quite on the level. The ceilings are ten foot high with a gathering for all the warm air. Simply put the President or any Commanding Officer would be humbled to plan, organize, or orchestrate a military action from this room. You can imagine my relief that Jesus isn’t so choosey.
From this room plans are laid for revival, inspiration is planted, and character is mastered. From this vantage no army large enough can sink the ship of faith. The arm of God is seen in all of His splendor and glory. Faith is given wings and drug addicts are released, families are restored, and a sinner finds the Savior. Nothing is impossible in this war room of prayer. Seeing God for who he says he is, believing his Power is sufficient as his grace. Doubts scatter when the light of truth chases the shadows of turning out of my mind.
The room doesn’t command the respect of man, it commands that man respect God. It reigns in the wild heart of flesh and allows the gentle hand of God to correct or comfort. Tonight in this town of Centerville, Tennessee a group of people will be gathering. Not to watch the worldly attractions of Super Bowl hype but to attract the mighty hand of God. To seek with earnest desire a revival to a place where no revival has gone. It is time to turn my home into a war zone for God. Under his direction and his grace we will see a wonderful out pouring of the Holy Spirit.
