Two More Baptized!

Two young men were baptized today. What a special time it is! A time for the believer to obey the plan and go down into the water in the Name of Jesus Christ. No other name in heaven or earth that is as great and awesome as His name! God is doing marvelous things and I can hardly believe what I’m seeing…
Repentance is the first step of a sinner once they belive Jesus died for their sins. Repentance is “death” to the old man. This is something that only the believer can do, no one else can truly help. No one can repeat a phrase and that phrase bring repentance. It is a direction change. A dying out to the old ways and walking to the ways of God. There is a way that seems right to a man but the end are the ways of death ( Prov. 16:25). Never has a dead man been tempted to smoke another joint or cigarette. Never has a dead man been tempted to lust or doubt. Paul said, “I die daily.” Repentance is an ongoing life style decision.
Baptism is burial. “Buried with him in baptism…” (col 2:12, Rom 6:4) this step is putting the old man under in a watery grave. It is something a preacher can actually help you do. The preacher preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ, the death, burial, and resurrection. It is only the burial part that he can help you with. Paul says, “Put you on the Lord Jesus Christ…” (Rom 13:14). “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. ” (Gal 3:27)
The next step is Resurrection. “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. ” (Rom 6:4) Resurrection is the Spirit of God on the inside. Jesus told Nicedemas that he had to be born again of the water and of the Spirit or he could not enter into the kingdom of God. Read Acts and then you too will find that the Holy Ghost (Spirit) is an actual experience that YOU can have with God.
Peter’s response to the question of, “What must we do?” He said,”Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” (Act 2:38)
There you have it. The gospel of Jesus Christ isn’t some mental assent to the fact of his death, burial, and resurrection. It is obeying his death, burial, and resurrection. Do you honestly think Peter preached false doctrine as the first message of the church? The book of Acts is still continuing and the message has not died. Though some may try to water down the truth of the message- they have failed. Revival is breaking out and this Endtime generation is responding to the message that Peter preached. Sounds familiar doesn’t it? “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts…” (Hag 2:9)
CONGRATS DANNY AND MARK!!!! God has great things in store for you!
