We walked in about two minutes after it started. Patty, Carol, April, Mandy, Lexie, Sydney, and myself. It was packed and we walked to the right along the back until we found a row that would hold all of us. It didn’t really matter where I sat, I was determined to worship God. The music and singing was washing over me like a melodious shower. Each note, each word, each expression of praise with whole hearted faith – the presence of God was being ushered into the place. For a brief moment my eyes would settle on a couple of men in front of me. They were not moving. No excited joyous praise, nothing. I marveled for a moment then forgot them. I now wonder what their problem was.

Lee Stoneking was the preacher. As he made his way to the pulpit from the congregation an anticipation swept through us all. He preached for an hour or more, but time was the last thing on any of our minds. All of my group was being impacted by God’s word. The altar call was given and immediately prayer broke out from the front to the back. When I laid hands on a gentleman behind be he began to shake and weap in the presence of God. April was making her way to the altar where hundreds where already praying.

As we prayed with April a lady came to her and began to pray. April prayed for about thirty minutes when it happened. It wasn’t human cunning or mind gymnastics. It was God. She began to speak in an unknown language. A glow came upon her. As she began to worship in a new realm. It was truly awesome!

Jesus said, “Marvel not that I said unto you that you must be born again.” Why do so many reject the manifestation of the born again experience? All I know is why many fight against millions will be being filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of different languages like as fire breaking out into a flame.

We’ve been in a study of the book of Acts. I read about the confession of Chalcedon, Nicea, and other extrabiblical confessions and I marvel at how little people, myself included, know about the book of Acts. I challenge you to read it. Read that book and find a church that preaches, teaches, and expereinces the power and promise of that historical book.
